MARSVHILLE – On Monday, June 28, 2021, Mr. Lanny M. Stegall, 78, went to be with the Lord while being cared for at the home of his son in Indian Trail.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00am Thursday, July 1, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. The family will greet friends following the service.
Interment will be in Marshville City Cemetery at a later date.
Lanny was born October 17, 1942 in Union County, NC and was a son of the late Ralph Clarence Stegall, Sr. and the late Ruby Carolyn Austin Stegall.
He was a 1962 graduate of the North Carolina School of the Deaf in Morganton, NC and was retired from Teledyne Allvac with 26 years of service. He was a member of West Monroe Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Parrish Stegall of Indian Trail; his sister and brother, Barbara Stegall Garrison of Conway, SC and Ralph C. Stegall, Jr. of Morganton; his former wife, Sandy Hasty of Indian Trail; his niece, Pam Lynes and husband, Jerry of Missouri; his nephews, Kim Stegall of Morganton and Jeff King and wife, Norma of Rockingham and many cousins and their families.
Lanny enjoyed fishing, woodworking, making furniture and mowing his yard. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed times shared with them. He loved people and was always smiling.
