Wadesboro - Mrs. Laura Ann Crawford Taylor, 92, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, October 5, 2012 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Park. Mrs. Laura Ann Crawford Taylor, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the home of her daughter. She was born April 5, 1920 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Barney Ingram and the late Florence Crawford. She was married to Leroy 'Bill' Taylor, who preceded her in death. Laura was a true jack of all trades. She was one of the first Nurse's Assistant in Anson County. She was a teachers aid with special needs children, a caterer, a cook at Edna's Tea Room for 27 years and a machinist at Glenn Manufacturing in Morven, all with a third grade education. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and always loved to talk about the goodness of the Lord to anyone. Laura was a Sunday school teacher at St. Mark Holiness Church for many years before joining Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the Widow's Club. She was known as 'Miss Laura to all who knew and loved her. Laura always had a plate of good food for the stomach and a good Bible verse for the heart. She was truly a phenomenal woman who touched the lives of many people in Anson County and will be truly missed by all. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her daughters, Billie A. (Walter) Williams and Cylathia Borden both of Wadesboro and Laura J. Taylor and Autura D.Taylor both of Philadelphia, PA; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Latasha Stewart; and her caregivers, Olivia Chambers and Debbie Lomax. In addition to her mother and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter and sons, Mattie Mae Taylor, Robert Lee Taylor, Leroy Taylor, Jr. and Wesley Taylor.
