"Bud" Lester Eugene Boyer

WADESBORO - On Friday, September 29, 2023, Mr. Bud Boyer (Lester Eugene Boyer), 64, peacefully finished his earthly journey to see his Heavenly Father while being cared for by his devoted wife at their home. Bud's family rejoices in knowing he has seen Jesus face to face and that he no longer has difficulty breathing.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, October 2, 2023 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Gerald officiating.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Bud was born June 23, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, PA and was a son of the late Joseph Randle Boyer and the late Sarah Louise Poorbaugh Boyer. He worked with the Town of Wadesboro in the water department for 11 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Sue Hudson Boyer; his children, Jamie Boyer (Tara) or East Bend and Amanda Hutchens (Wesley) of Boonville; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Jessica, Addison and Ayden Boyer and Savannah and Mason Hutchens; his brothers and sisters, Ray Boyer (Shirley) of Lilesville, Joseph Boyer of Boonville, Nancy Starling of Pulaski, VA, Albert Boyer (Carol Ann) of Lilesville and Hazel Allred (Roger) of Stanfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Breanna Boyer and by his beloved Chihuahua, Bill Eugene Boyer.

Bud was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing trips to the coast with his family and friends, as well as, time looking for deer when he was not able to go hunting. He dearly loved his family but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior.

The family is most grateful for all the love and support given to Bud and Sue during the past few months and in recent days.
