Letha Freeman Jenkins

Letha Magdeline Jenkins, 78, of Wadesboro died Saturday, July 8, 2023 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born Monday, June 11th, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Wyatt Freeman and Mertis Faye Privette Freeman.

Her husband of 45 years, James Earl Jenkins; a daughter, Barbara Johnson Tice of Marshville; two sons, Darius Johnson of Troy and Stanley Johnson of Concord; a sister, Mary Ellen Williams of Concord; and six grandchildren, Joshua Tice, Jill Tice, Matthew Johnson, Kayle Howell, Nicholas Johnson and Gabriella Resendez; two great grandchildren, Arabella Johnson and Paislee Mae Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Alana Wall survive her.

In addition to her parents, Johnnie Wyatt Freeman and Mertis Faye Privette Freeman, a brother, Gene Wyatt Freeman and a sister, Johnnie Newton preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at Forestville United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Causby officiating. Burial will follow at Forestville UMC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at Forestville United Methodist Church.
