WADESBORO Mrs. Lois Erma Paxton Maness, 93, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Ambassador Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Wadesboro.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Smith and Rev. Sydney Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lois was born January 10, 1925 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late William Green Paxton and the late Mary Alphe Parker Paxton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charlie "Red" Maness; brothers and sisters, Palmer, Edwin, James, Thomas, Hugh, George, Carrie, Rachel, Grace, Frances and Lucille.
Surviving are her sister, Sarah Hyatt of Polkton; a foster daughter, Bonnie (Rev. Sydney) Pratt of Morven; foster grandchildren, Paul (Michelle) Pratt of Morven and Brandon (Audrey) Lisenby of Whiteville and Amanda Stocks of Nakina foster great-grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Hattie, Kyle and Katelyn; a special niece, Phyllis (Darrell) Dawkins of Wadesboro and a special friend, Lib Crooke of Peachland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shining Light Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Bobbie Sasser 321 Richmond Road, Rockingham, NC.
