KANNAPOLIS -On Monday, September 7, 2026, Mrs. Louise Williams Almanza, 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery in Lilesville.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
Louise was born July 8, 1937 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Edward Williams adn the late Beulah Ricketts Williams. She was a graduate of Lilesville High School.
Louise will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Wanda Starnes of Atkinson and Brenda Gonzalaz (Freddie) and Sherri Rojas both of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hernandez (Chris), Greg Starnes (Kayla), Chris Bomham (Karmin), Nikki Gonzalez (Gary), Jimmy Gonzalez (Kellie), Crissy Buford (Jay), Vanessa Chasteen (Austin), Jessica Rojas, Rebecca Rojas, and Eddie Rojas (Beth),; 19 great-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother, Winnie Williams of Wadesboro and Ronnie Williams (Kay) of Bumpass, TN and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Frances Gathings and husband, Wayne, Margaret Chewning and husband, Ronnie, Van Williams, Tommy Williams, Bud Williams and wife, Ursula, and Calvin Williams; her granddaughter, Emilia Rojas and her great-great-grandson, Zachary Schweitzer.
