Louise Hubbard Blackwelder

Wadesboro - Mrs. Mary Louise Hubbard Blackwelder, 91, died Friday, December 24, 2011 in the Lillie Bennett Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Tuesday in Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Albemarle. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM. Louise was born in Anson County on March 17, 1920, a daughter of the late John Preston and Annie Russell Hubbard. She was retired from Olin Mills Studios. She was married to the late William Henry Blackwelder. Survivors include a son, Johnny Ray Blackwelder of Wadesboro; a step-son, Phillip Wayne Blackwelder; a sister, Mrs. Rosalee Terry of Wadesboro; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Hubbard, Lonnie Hubbard, Robert Hubbard; and three sisters, Ida Gathings, Beulah Grooms and Lina Warner. Memorials may be made to Mt.
