Louise Phillips Martin

POLKTON - On Sunday, October 4, 2026, Mrs. Louise Phillips Martin, 79, passed away peacefully at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe with family at her bedside.

There will be a memorial service at 4:00 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Louise was born August 7, 1947 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Arthur Franklin Phillips and the late Laura Louise Lewis Phillips. She was a graduate of Morven High School.

In her younger years, she worked with Winn Dixie in Wadesboro and later worked in book keeping with Crawford Motor Company and John Faulkner Motors.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Heather Martin of Peachland and her grandchildren, Kinsey Martin and Brody Martin both of Peachland.

Louise enjoyed gardening and flowers and feeding and watching the humming birds, cardinals, deer and cats.

The family is most grateful to the staff of McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe for the care they provided for her during her final days.
