PEACHLAND - Mrs. Louise Florence McClenton, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Monroe Square Assisted Living in Monroe, NC. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Marshville with Rev. M.L. Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm at Nicey Grove Church. Louise was born October 27, 1923 in Grove Town, GA one of 12 children born to the late Marshall and Mary Ellen Marshall Florence. She was a homemaker and had worked for many families in and around Union County for many years. She was a long-time member of Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Anne Belle Florence Bush and her husband, LaNorris Bush of Quincy, FL and Carl Richard Allison Hamilton of Sarasota, FL; an adopted son, John A. Moore, Jr. and wife Claudia of Monroe, NC; her grandchildren, Patricia Stanley, Sylvester Stanley, Jr. and Darrell Stanley all of Monroe, NC, Teresa Stanley Young of Indian Trail, NC, Rebekah A. Bush of Gainesville, FL and Abraham L. Bush of Okeechobee, FL; and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters and brothers, Mary Florence Jackson of Monroe, NC, Sadie Mae Moon, Betty (Jeddie Bell Florence) and Robert Willie Florence all of Augusta, SC and Carrie Tolbert and Cozell Florence Knight both of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John McClenton, her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine Harding Stanley and Sylvester Stanley, her grandson, Timothy Stanley, and her brothers, Timothy Florence, Greene Florence, Willard Florence, Paul Florence and Marshall Florence, Jr. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
