WADESBORO - On Sunday, July 19, 2026, Mrs. Louise Almond Williams, 79, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2026, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Louise was born November 18, 1946, in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Charles Franklin Almond and the late Annie Jane Pegram Almond. She was a graduate of Anson High School.
She had worked for several years in the textile industry in Anson County, but most of her life, she was a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren. Later, she worked as secretary for the family business, Williams Pallets.
Louise dearly loved her family and always looked forward to time shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed going on shopping trips, especially to Sam’s Club. Although she was not able in later years to be as active and away from home, she often kept up with her family and friends through telephone calls and social media.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 62 years, Larry T. Williams; her children, Tommy Williams (Debbie) of Wadesboro, Lisa Martin (Doug) of Polkton and Stacey Lisenby (Shane) of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Mendy Mullis of Wadesboro, Terrin Harrington (Brent) of Lilesville, Candace Burns of Lilesville, Criag Martin of Wadesboro, Craisen Martin of Lilesville, and Austin Burns of Wadesboro; her great-grandchildren, Callen Harrington, Brynnan Harrington and Kaylen Hyatt; her sisters-in-law, Judy Almond of Lilesville and Peggy Coble of Wadesboro; her caregiver, Anne Gaddy of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Shorty Almond, Peggy Propst, Vernon Almond, Charles Almond, Jr., Erskine Almond and Nancy Forbes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cathedral Baptist Church, 1215 Old Lilesville Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
