Mamie Hildreth Harrington

Mrs. Mamie Hilreth Harrington, 83, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at Lillie Bennett Nurisng Center in Wadesboro. The family will greet friends Wednesday (tonight) from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Leavitt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private with interment in Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mamie was born August 27, 1927 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Connie Belle Hildreth. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Polkton Shirt Factory and had also worked for a number of years with Anson County Council on Aging. Surviving are her children, Diane (Billy) Edwards and Cathy (Ron) Cate both of Wadesboro, Freddie (Debbie) and Michael (Pat) Harrington both of Polkton and Elaine (Billy) Bunn of Marshville; her brother and sister, J.B. Hildreth of Lancaster and Joanne Griffin of Monroe and her 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Winfred Harrington, her son, 'Little Joe' Harrington and her brothers and sisters, Ruben, Henry, David and Johnny Hildreth and Made Hudson and Mary Cope.
