Mrs. Margaret Louise Rogers Gorski, 85, died Monday, September 5, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center Mercy in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, September 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. George Senter officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends tonight (Wednesday) from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Margaret was born April 24, 1926 in Stanly County, NC one of eleven children born to the late Robert Lee Rogers and the late Etta Jean Hunter Rogers. She was retired from Coppers Corporation. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy 'Butch' and Frankie Brewer of Hamptonville and Victor and Elaine Gorski of Wadesboro; her daughter, Pamela Brewer of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Tommy Brewer, Jr., Wendy Watson, Ian Gorski and Ethan Barker; her great-grandchildren, Garbriel Gorski, Kayla and Dalton Brewer and Hunter Barker; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Jim Dezarn of Winston-Salem and Jackie and Wilbert Leonard of Elkin; and her sisters-in-law, Clara Rogers of Baltimore, MD, Beth Rogers of Wadesboro and Eva Jean Hatfield of Yadkinville. In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond Paul Gorski and her brothers and sisters, Bobby, Jimmy, Richard, Chester, Walter, James and Linda Rogers and Gladys Sprinkle preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 4819 Park Road Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209-3842. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
