Margaret Hanna Hunter

Mrs. Margaret 'Margie' Hanna Hunter, 74, was promoted to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Memorial services will be 1:00pm Saturday, June 11, 2011 at North Wadesboro Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Stewart officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. She was born September 15, 1936 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Henry Lee Hanna and Sara Elizabeth Purvis. She was retired from PCA International and was a member of North Wadesboro Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Jim McQuay of the home; her children, Larry Hunter of Mt. Holly, Tim Hunter of Charlotte and Amy Stewart of Matney, NC; her step-children, Rebecca Locklear and Sherry McQuay both of Charlotte, Johnny McQuay of Iron Station and Donnie McQuay of Louisiana; her sister and brothers, Connie Good of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lonnie Helms of Monroe, Jake Helms of Ocala, FL and Charles Helms of Mt. Holly; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Guy Lee Hunter and her brother, Fred Hanna preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Wadesboro Baptist Church, 1211 N. Greene St., Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
