WADESBORO - Mr. Marshall Caple, son of the late Alex Caple and the late Rosa Lindsey Caple Kirby Williams. He entered this life on November 13, 1922 in Anson County and departed this life on January 28, 2021 at Atrium Health Anson in Wadesboro, NC. At an early age he attended the public schools in Anson County School system. After finishing school, he then started seeking employment where he landed a job working for Wade Mill Manufacturing as a Utility Maintenance. During that time, he accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Marshall Caple then realized his life was still missing something, he knew that he wanted to start creating a legacy for himself so he got married to the love of his life and started a family! He was joined in holy matrimony to Emma Ree Leak. To this union 13 children were born: 7 daughters Mary Eve Caple of the home; Doletha Powell (Risden) of Wadesboro, NC; Anna Taylor (Ritchie-Deceased) of Wadesboro, NC; Fannie Ree Caple of Wadesboro, NC; Ruby Lee Caple of Wadesboro, NC; Mary Ellen Sturdivant (Bruce) of Morven, NC; and Shirley Quick (Charles) of Bennettsville, SC. 6 sons Joseph Caple (Mary) of Cottonville, NC; Marshall Caple (Tremenda) of Ansonville, NC; James Caple (Alberta) of Wadesboro, NC; William Caple of Wadesboro, NC; Roger Lee Caple of Wadesboro, NC; and 1 deceased son. Later on in life he then joined Morning Star Redeemed Church of God where Elder Carl Ingram was the pastor whom he loved dearly and the other church members especially his sister who would come by every Sunday and pick him up and he also loved his brother Mr. Otis Kirby and not to leave anyone else out he loved everybody dearly. He also leaves to cherish his memories 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren; Sister Eva Mae Gilbert of Wadesboro, NC; Brother Otis Kirby (Lizzie) of High Point, NC; A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Ree Caple, 2 grandchildren, James Caple Jr. and Tremenda Martisha Caple. Brothers; Alexander Caple, Will Caple, EC Caple, Cleveland Kirby, Robert Williams. Sisters; Laura K. Robinson, Lucille Dockery. Sister-in-law; Lizzie Armstrong, Annie Bell Ingram, Annie Jane Dunlap, Ressie Leak Little. Brother-in-laws; Herschel Gilbert, Harvey Robinson, Nello Little, Paul Armstrong, Leroy Dunlap, Alexander Ingram. Thank God for 98 years!!!! Homegoing services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Morning Star Redeemed Church of God Cemetery in Lilesville. Public viewing will be from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday, February 1, 2021, at the funeral home.
