Mary Alice Goodwin

LAURINBURG Miss Mary Alice Goodwin, 55, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hermitage Retirement Center in Rockingham. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday May 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro. Interment will follow in Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lilesville. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Mary Alice was born December 24, 1962 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Joe Lee Goodwin and the late Rosa Mae Chavis Goodwin. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her sons, Chris Goodwin, James Goodwin, Brandon Goodwin and Derrick Goodwin all of Laurinburg; granddaughter, Hailey McKenzie Goodwin; and her sister, Betty Jo Sims of Marshville; her brother-in-law, Rick Thrower of Wagram; and her nephews and nieces, Phillip Goodwin, Jason Goodwin, Johnny Lee Sims, Jeremy Sims, Kimberly Thrower and Katisha Oxendine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother, Doris Thrower and Danny Ray Chavis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leavitt Funeral Home, P.O.
