Mrs. Mildred Preslar Eddins, 86, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center. Services will be 2:00pm Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the mausoleum at Anson Memorial Park. Mildred was born August 11, 1924 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Paul E. and Cleo Preslar. She was a homemaker and a member of Camden Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her daughter, Annette (Bill) Martin of Wadesboro; her sister, Hazel Barber of Laurinburg and her cousin, Dorothy (Arthur) Taylor of the Burnsville Community. Her husband, Robert Wilson Eddins and her son, Phillip Rodney Eddins preceded her in death. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Victoria Rommel and the entire staff at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center for their excellent care for Mildred and a special thank you to her caregivers Peggy Smith and Betty Howard. Memorials may be made to Lillie Bennett Residents Council, 500 Morven Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170 or to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
