WADESBORO - Mildred Williamson Little, 98, of Wadesboro, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Born on September 6, 1927, in Wadesboro, Milly was the daughter of the late Dr. John Farris Williamson and Cyrette Holliday Williamson. A lifelong resident of Anson County, she graduated from Greensboro Women’s College and was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Wadesboro.
Milly, was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her strong spirit, gracious presence, and deep love for her family. Her children described their upbringing as the "perfect childhood," full of love, support, fun, and care. Milly embodied the grace and charm of a true Southern lady, building a home full of joy and hospitality. She also had a special love for animals, especially her beloved kitty cats, which brought her great joy and companionship throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bennett Little II; her son, William Bennett Little III (Billy); her granddaughter, Millicent (Millie) Forrest; her brother, John Farris Williamson; and her sister, Elizabeth Williamson Boykin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Cyrette Little Conway, Dora Little Forrest, and Fulton Allen Little; her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Little; her grandchildren, Trey Conway, Mason Forrest, Conner Forrest (Leah), William Forrest, Fulton Little, Ashley Price (Ted), and by love, Shena and Cheyenne; and her great-grandchildren, Vera Forrest, Margot Forrest, Alexis Price, Teddy Price, and by love, Gracyn and Scarlett.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers: Callie, Barbara, Vera, Inez, Angela, Taloria, and Beulah, for the love and compassion they showed Miss Milly
A Celebration of Life service will be held for the family at a later date, with burial in the family plot at Eastview Cemetery.
