Miriam Sellers Lovett

Wadesboro Mrs. Miriam Sellers Lovett, 84, died Friday, August 24, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Kakadelis officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30PM. Born November 30, 1933 in Anson County, Miriam was one of three children born to John Bunyan Sellers and Louise Dabbs Sellers. She graduated from Polkton High School. in 1951. She was a retired store manager for Sears with over thirty years of service to the company. Miriam enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of nearly 68 years, Valdon Lovett Sr. of the home; a son, Valdon Lovett Jr. (Kathy) of Taylors, SC; two daughters, Sissie L. Childress (Joe Clark) of Columbia, SC and Conne L. Bridenbaugh (David) of Apex; five grandchildren, Daniel Lovett, Valarie Lovett, Nikki Childress, Davis Bridenbaugh, and Rebecca Bridenbaugh; and one brother, James T. Sellers of Belmont. In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred S. Krause. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170; or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
