Nellie Ruth Spencer Walters

LILESVILLE - Mrs. Nellie Ruth Spencer Walters, 75, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Cary Rehabilitation Center in Cary. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour before the services at the funeral home. Nellie was born April 5, 1936 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Lee and Georgianna Brown Spencer. She was a homemaker and a member of Forestville A.M.E. Zion Church. Surviving are her children, David (Clara) Walters of Pineville, NC, Michael Walters of Pageland, SC and Debbie (Albert) Montgomery of Wingate, NC; her grandchildren, Tyrail, Monica, Mikey, Kendall, Stacey and Jada;her great-grandchildren, Arianna, Brianna, Deianna, and Shania and her sisters, Kathleen Spencer, Louise Smith and Connie Teal all of Lilesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas 'Jimmy' Walters, by children, Leroy, Anna, Alexander and Georgianna and her sisters, Mary Lee (Sam) Rivers and Dorothy Rorie.
