Nelson Alexander Young

WADESBORO - Mr. Nelson Alexander Young, Jr. was born July 23, 1988 in Anson County, NC and was a son of Nelson Alexander Young and Lessie Ann Robinson Young.

He was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 and Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Matthews, NC. He was 35 years of age.

Nelson attended Anson County Public Schools and enjoyed singing, rapping, music and especially spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother and step-father, Lessie Young and Claude Burns of Wadesboro; his father, Nelson Young; his brother and sisters, Michael Young of South Carolina, Shirlitha Young and Shaquana Young both of Wadesboro and Vanessa Bracy (Bryan) of Pageland, SC; his grandmother, Bessie Niles of Polkton; his aunts and uncles, Margaret Clyburn of Morven, Virginia  Blakeney (Doug) of Jefferson, SC, Robert Young and John Young (Janine) both of Marshville; 15 nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will see friends following the service.
