Nova Jai'onna Bennett

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14 

On Saturday, March 2, 2024, Little Miss Nova Jai’onna Bennett, age 1,  slipped away to be in the arms of Jesus. Our little princess was welcomed into the world on August 1, 2022 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe to her parents Hydia Tenniya Rivers and Corey Alexander Bennett.  

Although in our arms for just a little while, Nova, blessed our lives and homes with so much love and many precious memories. 

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her parents, Hydia Rivers and Corey Bennett; her brothers and sisters, Corey Bennett, Jr., Jordyn Rivers, Kaitlyn Bennett and Terry Byrd; her grandparents, Michael Bennett, Keith Tanner, Hugh Smith (Sheena), Lacy Martin, and Fredrick Willoughby (Felicia); her great-grandparents, Annie and Freeman Crowder, Norma Jean Rivers and Lois Smith and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family who all loved her dearly. 

Those who welcomed her in heaven are her grandmothers, Shakida Rivers and Marie Crowder Bennett and her uncle, Tyquan Rivers.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2024, at Believers Christian Center in Wadesboro Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Park.

Public viewing will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will gather at the home of her great-grandmother, Annie Crowder, at 2185 West Wall Street in Wadesboro.
