Peggy Dunn Hildreth

POLKTON - On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Mrs. Peggy Dunn Hildreth, 81, passed away peacefully at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Leavitt Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow the visitation at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Greene officiating.

Peggy was born on February 24, 1945 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Donald Lee Dunn and Virginia Lucille Caudle Liles. She was a graduate of Polkton High School and was retired from Hornwood Inc. in Lilesville. Peggy enjoyed aerobics, ceramics and gardening, but her greatest love was her grandchildren. She will be remember for her loving and kind spirit and ability to make everyone she encountered feel special.

Surviving are her sons, Mark Hildreth and husband, Ken Earwood of Trenton, Ga, Kevin Hildreth and Joel Hildreth both of Polkton; her daughter, Laurie Hildreth Anastas of Polkton; her grandchildren, Adrianna Anastas, Anniston Anastas and Kevin Hildreth, Jr. all of Polkton; her siblings, Richard Dale Caudle, Patricia Caudle Ponds, Becky Caudle Chisholm, Kenneth Caudle and Joyce Dunn Kirkbac.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald “ Donnie” Keith Hildreth; her siblings, Ronald Lee Dunn and Carolyn Caudle Wright.
