WADESBORO - On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Mrs. Rachel Adcock Myers, 85, passed away peacefully with her devoted husband by her side to be with her Lord and Savior.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2025 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Abee and Rev. Dwight Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

Rachel was born September 6, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC and was a daughter of the late Henry William Adcock and the late Nellie Smith Adcock. She was a graduate of Belmont High School and had worked for more than 30 years with Wade Manufacturing in Wadesboro.
She was a long-time and faithful member of the Wadesboro Church of God where she was active with the youth Sunday school class, Ladies Ministries and Willing Workers, Young at Heart Senior Citizens Group and always helping prepare meals for church functions and bereaved families. The church often sold fried apple pies throughout the year and Rachel was always among the cooks for those events, too.
Rachel looked for the good in all people. She and her husband, Wink, loved, cared for and encouraged those who others might see as unlovable and downtrodden. They loved as Christ does, unconditionally.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Van Wilson "Wink" Myers; her daughter, Joan Killeen (Daniel) of Eden Prairie, MN; her granddaughter, Jessica Henseler (Nick); her great-grandchildren, Arabella Henseler, and Aria Henseler all of Rosemont, MN; her brothers and sisters, Jerry Adcock (Katherine) of Wingate, Frankie Beachum (Dalton) of Catawba, SC, Boyce Adcock of Lilesville, Joyce Porter (Mickey) of Wadesboro, Bernice Talent (Robert) of Live Oak, FL, Aline Mosteller of Hayesville and Rose Tucker (Vondale) of Morven; her brother-in-law, Haywood Newton of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Sue Newton, Barbara Gantt, Janet Harris, Carolyn Haigler and Don Adcock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wadesboro Church of God,809 N. Greene St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
