WADESBORO – On Friday, July 24, 2026, Mr. Randy Ray Bailey, 61, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at Richmond County Hospice Haven surrounded by the love of his family.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at King’s Vineyard Worship Center with Pastor Steve Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
Randy was born in Iaeger, WV on October 13, 1964, and was a son of the late Elmer Bailey and the late Hazel Walker Bailey. He was the owner and operator of Randy Bailey Trucking.
He was a member of King’s Vineyard Worship Center in Wadesboro, and he always enjoyed the fellowship with his church family.
Randy was an avid football fan, as he played football all through his high school years. He enjoyed dancing, supporting the Carolina Panthers, doing yardwork and home projects with his wife but especially time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Teresa Dawkins Bailey; his step-sons, Nathan Goodwin (Melody) and Matthew Goodwin (Amanda) both of Lilesville; his grandchildren, Kaylie, Sophia, Maleah, Baylee, Maddox and Liam Goodwin; his sister, Brenda Atwell (John) of Harmony; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jobie Goodwin (Donald), Suzy Walters (Eric), and Darrell Dawkins (Phyllis) all of Wadesboro and Angela Jones of Lilesville and his nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Michael, Shirley, and Reda.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Anson Community and Richmond County Hospice Haven for the care and support they have given to Randy and their family during his time of transition.
