Raymond Joseph "Wayne" Ratliff, Jr.

ROCKINGHAM -  Mr. Raymond Joseph Ratliff, Jr., affectionately called “Wayne” was the son of the late Mr. Raymond Joseph Ratliff, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Lee Ingram Ratliff, born July 3, 1954, in Wadesboro, NC.

Raymond “Wayne” entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at his residence.

Raymond was preceded in death by his only child, Ebony Angellique Ward, his parents and brother, Gerry Todd Ratliff.

Raymond’s affectionate heartwarming smile was the first thing you saw upon meeting him. Family was the utmost importance to him.

Raymond was educated in the Anson County Public Schools and was a roofer for many years.

Raymond is survived by five sisters and three brothers, Barbara Ratliff of Charlotte, NC, Larry (Brenda) Ratliff of Charlotte, NC, Gwendolyn (Charles) Jordan of Denver, CO, Pamela Ratliff of Syracuse, NY, Carolyn Ratliff of Rockingham, NC, Gregory (Debra) Ratliff of Lilesville, NC, Norris (Elisa) Ratliff of Gainesville, GA and Sechiquita (Victor) Jones of Wadesboro, NC; uncle, Craig W. Ratliff (Olivia) of Rockingham, NC; aunts, Marion Thompson of Patterson, NJ, Bettie Miller (Bert) of Winter Springs, FL, Polly Emanuel and Louvenia Flournory of Liverpool, NY. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 20, 2026, at West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation and viewing will be from 12:30 until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2026, at West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

The family is gathering at the home of his sister, Carolyn Ratliff, 708 Juniper Street, Rockingham.
