Richard Michael Trometer

NEW LONDON – Mr. Richard Michael Trometer, 76, passed way on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at his home.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00am Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Forestville United Methodist Church in Lilesville with Rev. Sybil Perrell officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Richard was born August 24, 1945, in Ann Arbor, MI and was a son of the late Leon Edward Trometer and the late Marian Virginia Larsen Trometer. He was a graduate of St. Thomas Catholic High School.

He worked for several years in sales for commercial glass and glazing and later with Choate Construction of Raleigh as a superintendent, prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Clark Trometer; his children, Richard “Rick” Trometer of Howell, MI, William “Bill” Trometer (Melissa) of Lincoln Park, MI and Suzanne Trometer Koch (Kevin) of Livonia, MI; his 6 grandchildren; his sister, Georgia Trometer Frick of Ypsilanti, MI; his mother-in-law, Evelyne Clark of Concord and formerly of Lilesville; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Hannelore Lawson of Goose Creek, SC and Frank Clark of Norwood; and his nieces and nephews and their families.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1024 Albemarle Rd, Ste 904, Troy, NC 27371.
