On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Miss Rickasia Sontee Liles, 23, passed away at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
She was born August 16, 2002 in Union County, NC and was a daughter of Angelia Lovetta Crowder and the late Ricky Donnell Liles.
Rickasia was a graduate of Anson High School and attended Winston-Salem State University. She had a great love for basketball and music. They were her true passions. She had worked at various places of employment, however, Conmet in Monroe, NC was her favorite.
She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and joined West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her mother, Angelia Crowder 9 Fiance’ Derrick Gaddy of Wadesboro; her sister and brothers, Shannel Hall of Raleigh, NC, Ricky Donnell Liles, Jr of Monroe, NC and Travis Liles (Kimberly) of Kershaw, SC; ; her brother-in-love, Donavan Tillman of Wadesboro, NC; her uncles and aunts, Marlon Gabriel (Beverly) of Morven, NC, Mitchell Crowder of Wadesboro, Dewayne Crowder (Diane) of Albemarle, NC, Lisa Ingram (Ray) of Morven, NC, Maria Gabriel of Rockingham,; NC, Quinta Crowder of Wadesboro, NC and Cheryl Pearson of Sneads Ferry, NC; her uncle-in-love, Ricky Rhodes of Wadesboro, NC; her great-aunts and great-uncles, Freeman Crowder (Annie) of Lilesville, Clifford Crowder, Deborah A. Grace, Mary O. Gaddy, McAlister Crowder (Lillie) and Alfred Crowder all of Wadesboro, NC, Kenneth Simon (Judy) of Morven, NC, Lee Simon (Diane) of Columbia, SC, Virgina Love of Largo, MD, Willie Ree Young of Greensboro, NC, Larrice Miller of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Doris E. Wilson and Annie Williams (David) both of Charlotte, NC, and her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge and give special thanks to her former basketball team members and friends from Winston-Salem State for the love and support they have shown during this time.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The public viewing will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the funeral home.
The family is gathering at the home on 109 North in Wadesboro.
