Robert Carpenter

Wadesboro - On Sunday, December 25, 2022, Mr. Robert Bishop Carpenter, 71, passed away peacefully at Wadesboro Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert was born October 13, 1951, in Anson County, NC, and was the son of the late Robert Bruce Carpenter and the late Mariella Parker Carpenter. He was a graduate of Bowman High School. He worked for a number of years at Wansona in Wadesboro and later retired from Hornwood in Lilesville.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Sandra Baker Carpenter of Wadesboro,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gwen.

Robert's family is grateful to the staff of Wadesboro Health and Rehab and Anson Community Hospice, a Division of Richmond County Hospice for all they did for him while in their care. Also, heartfelt gratitude to the Victory Baptist Church family for all they have done for both Sandra and Robert.
