Robert J. "Buck" Moore, Jr.

ANSONVILLE - On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Mr. Robert J. "Buck" Moore, Jr., 65, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home.

Services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2026 by the graveside in Bethlehem Cemetery with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.

Buck was born in Baltimore, MD on September 7, 1960 and was a son of Robert J. "Bobby" Moore and the late Ruby Ann Simpson Moore. He was a graduate of Bowman High School. He was a retired member of the Ansonville Volunteer Fire Department.

He worked for many years as a meat cutter, having worked at Winn-Dixie in Wadesboro and Monroe, Bi-Lo in Monroe and later retiring from IGA in Wadesboro.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Sara Moore of Norwood; his grandchildren, Wes Moore and Ally Moore both of Norwood; his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Steve Burris of Ansonville and his nieces and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Wright Moore.
