Robert Nelson "Bobby" Currie

MT. GILEAD – Mr. Robert Nelson “Bobby” Currie, 78, died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Atrium Health – CMC Main in Charlotte. Services will be 11:00am Tuesday, September 22, 2020 by the graveside in Hebron Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. Bobby was born September 13, 1942 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Jack Nelson Currie and the late Daisy Byrd Jarrell Currie. He was a graduate of Mt. Gilead High School and was a life-long farmer. Bobby found great pleasure in time spent outdoors and riding his tractor on the farm. Surviving are his brother, John Duncan Currie of Mt. Gilead and numerous cousins and family friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
