Ruby Cauble Rorie

WADESBORO – Mrs. Ruby Cauble Rorie, 94, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. The family will have a private graveside service at Anson Memorial Park. Ruby was born in Anson County, NC on October 17, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Abby Alexander Cauble and the late Bessie Viola Swaringen. She attended Anson Technical College, earning an associate degree in Education. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wadesboro. Surviving are her sons, Ronnie Rorie (Dianne) of Morristown, TN, Gerald Rorie (Deborah) of Wadesboro and David Rorie (Ann) of Kernersville; her grandchildren, Brent Rorie (Danielle) of Georgetown, KY, Angie Dutton (Scott) of Polkton, Laruen Rorie of Charlotte, Melissa Rorie of Kernersville, Sally McAtteer (Justin) of Monroe, Mary Anne Ray of Morristown, TN, Cory Davis (Melissa) and Christy Burch (Mike) both of Wadesboro; 15 great-grandchildren and her sister, Hilda Stock of St. Louis, MO. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitte Rorie and her brothers and sisters, Fred Cauble, Randle Cauble, Vera Faggart, Virginia Faggart, Gladys Allen, and Kaye DeRoche.
