Russell A. Hough

WADESBORO - On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Mr. Russell A. Hough, 49, passed away peacefully at McWhorter House at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Russell was born on January 7, 1975, in Germany while his father was stationed there in the military. He was a son of Ellen Tice Goodwin and the late Bobby Joe Hough. He was employed with Martin Furniture in Wadesboro as warehouse supervisor.

He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed working on a Harley Davidson any time!

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ellen and Lonnie Goodwin of Wadesboro; his sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Kevin Burr of Wadesboro and his niece and nephew, Abigail Underwood and Noah Underwood both of Wadesboro; his grandfather, Billy Tice of Lilesville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Jesse Mount; his grandmother, Willie Faye Moore Tice.

Russell's family is most grateful to Hospice of Union County and the staff of the McWhorter House for all that was done for him while he was in their care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McWhorter Hospice House, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
