Ruth Mrs. Roberson

Lilesville - Mrs. Ruth Ingram Roberson, 96, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the Lillie Bennett Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Kaye Fry officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM. Ruth was born in Ruby, SC on March 12, 1918, a daughter of the late Furman and Etta Crawley Ingram. She graduated from Lilesville High School and was a longtime active member of Lilesville United Methodist Church. She was married to the late James Vernon Roberson. Survivors include a son, Ed Roberson and his wife, Marie, of Memphis, TN; a daughter-in-law, Millie Roberson of Cheraw, SC; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Roberson, Glenda Kimrey, Paige Coker, and Neil Roberson; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Violet Preston of San Antonio, TX. Ruth was preceded in death by a son, J.V. Roberson, Jr. and a grandson, Jimmy Roberson. Memorials may be made to Lilesville United Methodist Church, PO Box 452, Lilesville, NC 28091.
