Morven - Mr. Samuel 'Sam' Joseph Morris, 69, died Monday, January 6, 2020 at Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday, January 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Interment will follow in McLaurin Family Cemetery in Morven. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Sam was born March 29, 1950 in Anson County, NC, a son of the late Doss Morris and the late Elsie Louise McLaurin Morris. He was the owner and operator of Lazy Bones Trucking Company. Surviving are his son, Brian Hazelwood of Morven; his granddaughter, Brittany Lancaster (Michael) of Locust; his great-grandson, Lincoln Lancaster; his sisters and brother, Linda Laton and George Morris (Brenda) both of Albemarle, Annette Lowe of Supply and Dianne Mastin (Will) of Troy and his nieces and nephews and their families.
