WADESBORO - Mrs. Sara Griggs Jarman, 85, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.
The family will greet friends from 2:30pm until 3:30pm Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Leavitt Funeral Home with a service following at 4:00pm by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating.
Sara was born September 8, 1929 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late John Clement Griggs and Ida Tucker Griggs. She had worked for a number of years in the offices of Dr. Jimmy Covington and later with Dr. Bridger.
Surviving are her children, Ronnie (Fleeta) Jarman of Lilesville, Martin Jarman and Melody (Benny) Harris both of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Rhonda (Marc) Session, Emily (Dave) Trexler, Lane Jarman and Brandon Harris all of Wadesboro, Dale (Cindy) Jarman of New Hill, Adam (Lauren) Jarman of Charlotte, Jon (Nicole) Jarman of Apex and Justin (Shelley) Jarman of Zebulon; her great-grandchildren, Marci, Jake and Stetson Sessions and Lacy Jarman; and her sister, Ruth Short of Wadesboro.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Turner Jarman and her sister and brothers, Geneva, Walter, J.C., Roy and Baxter Griggs.
