Sara Ann Deese Powell

Wadesboro- Sara Ann Deese Powell, 67, died Saturday, January 11, 2020. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Sunday, January 19, 2019 at Morven Cemetery with Rev. Doug Anderson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Sara was born December 30, 1952 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Abner Deese and Elizabeth Chewing Deese. Surviving are her siblings, Abner "Michelle" Deese, Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Michael "Jewel" Deese of Rockingham, NC, Carlton "Donna" Deese of Wadesboro, NC, Libby "Tom" Evans of The Woodlands, TX, and Abbie McKenzie of Lexington, SC; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cora Jean Deese and Rita Suzette Deese; and brother-in-law, Jerry Mckenzie. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
