McFarlan - Mrs. Sarah Frances 'Frankie' Lowery Timmons, 71, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry King officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Leavitt Funeral Home. Frankie was born in Anson County on October 26, 1940, a daughter of the late J.C. and Odell Teal Lowery. She was retired from West Knitting Mill and was married to the late Jerry W. Timmons Sr. Survivors include a son, Jerry Timmons, Jr. (Diane) of McFarlan; three daughters, Johnni Deese (Todd) of Morven, Sharon Chapman (Calvin) and Kim Gainey (Ronnie) both of McFarlan; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
