MONROE - On Sunday, January 9, 2022, Mrs. Sherry Kendall, 59, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Union.


Services will be 2:00pm Saturday, January 15, 2022, by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park with Rev. Broce Sowell officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5;00pm until 7:00pm Friday, January 14, 2022, at Leavitt Funeral Home.

Sherry was born October 5, 1962, in Baltimore, MD and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Henry and the late Ellen Thomas Henry. She was a 1980 graduate of Bowman High School and had worked as a supervisor at the Candle Factory when it was in Wingate.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 years, Larry Kendall of the home; her chow baby, Yoshi; her sisters and brother, Carolyn Hudson of Kannapolis, George Shelton, III (Maria) of Norwood, Debbie Shelton of Polkton and Pam Brown (Neil) of China Grove; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Roscoe Kendall (Jeanette0 of Charlotte, Gary Kendall (Sandra) of Wadesboro and Donnie K. Lewis of Ansonville; her best friend who was like a sister to her, Teena of Marshville and her nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Julia M. Kendall.

Sherry loved R and B Music, dancing, singing, cooking, Chow dogs and assisting in Chow rescue groups. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who loved her.
