Shirley Stubbs Ratliff

WADESBORO - On Saturday, February 25, 2023, Mrs. Shirley Stubbs Ratliff, 80, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord with her family gathered by her side.

There will be a service to celebrate her life at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Lonnie Grose officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Shirley was born October 27, 1942, in Anson County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Leon "Buddy" Stubbs and the late Sara Frances Sellers Stubbs. She worked for many years as a hairdresser and in later years she worked as a private duty caregiver for several families in Anson County.

A lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in McFarlan, where she remained active until her health declined. She dearly loved her church family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, David Treadaway of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Christy Lynn Link (Brian Link, husband), Catie Leigh Treadaway (Donnie Arnold, husband), and Courtney Lane Treadaway (Ruslan Garland, fiance') all of Winchester, VA, David Tyler Treadaway and Garrett Henry Treadaway (April Treadaway, wife) both of Peachland; and her great-grandchildren, Levi Link, Gracelynn Arnold, Charleigh Arnold, Lennox Treadaway, Weston Treadaway, Raylee Treadaway, and Kylie Treadaway.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Louis Treadaway, Jr., and her brother, Robert Leon Stubbs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
