Susan Hanna Beachum

ANSONVILLE - On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Mrs. Susan Hanna Beachum, 68, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Pineville.

There will be a memorial service at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 19, 2025, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating,

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Susan was born November 10, 1957, in Stanly County, NC and was a daughter of the late Walter Alexander Hanna and the late Thelma Virginia Lawhon Hanna.

She attended and graduated from the public schools in Anson County. While in high school she became a bus driver and she last drove her bus on Monday before her passing on Tuesday.

Susan dearly loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, camping, trips to the mountains, attending gospel singings with her mother, going to flea markets, reading, collecting bears, crafts, wood burning and gardening.

Those who are left to cherish her memories are her husband of 50 years, Terry Beachum; her son, Jason Beachum (Christian) of Norwood; her grandchildren, Nicholas Beachum and Elizabeth Beachum both of Norwood; her sister and brother, Barbara Ratliff (Rodney) and Doug Hanna both of Wadesboro; and her niece, Amy Yarborough (Davis) of Ruby, SC and her great-nephew, Caleb Yarborough of Ruby, SC.
