WADESBORO Mrs. Thelma Caudle Williamson, 90, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center Union (Atrium Health) in Monroe. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Saturday, January 12, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Wadesboro with Mr. Ken Goins, CLP officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1:30pm until 3:00pm Saturday at the church and other times at the home. Thelma was born September 23, 1928 in Union County, NC the youngest of 13 children born to William Henry Caudle and Martha Mae Edwards Caudle. She was a graduate of Wadesboro High School and began working at age 14 at Roses Five and Dime in Wadesboro. She later worked in textiles, retiring from Dawson Knitting Mills and following retirement worked part time with Anson County Schools. She was a long time member of Wade Baptist Church prior to moving her membership to First Baptist Church, Wadesboro where she was active in the ministries of the church until declining health. Surviving are her children, Wendell Williamson of Wadesboro, Rodney Williamson and wife, Sylvia of Norwood and Wanda Weaver of Clayton; her grandsons, Wendell Williamson, Jr. and wife, Pollen of Clayton and Josh Williamson and wife, Beth of Albemarle; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Lincoln, Jack, Ben and Emily and her grandpup, Augie. Also surviving are her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pat Baldis of Morven, Harvey Williamson of Oxon Hill, MD and Mike Williamson of Blythewood, SC and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Duckie Lawson Williamson; her twin brother, Elma Caudle, Hoyle Caudle, Clyde Caudle, Harvie Caudle, Sallie Harward, Eula Mae Love, Vance Caudle, Blair Caudle, twins, Cleva Horton and Cletus Caudle, Rosie (Bell) Kendall and Jessie Caudle; and her faithful canine companions, Black Jack and Bo. Flowers are appreciated; however, memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.leavittfh.com
