Todd Donnell Cox, Sr.

LILESVILLE

Mr. Todd Donnell Cox, Sr., was born January 19, 1968, in Guilford County, NC, and was a son of the late Willie James Cox and the late Mary Helen Wall Cox. He transitioned from this earthly life at his home in Lilesville on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He was 58 years old.

He was educated in the public schools of Anson County and graduated from Bowman Senior High School. His passion was truck driving. He worked for many years driving trucks in the logging industry.

Todd was a member of Savannah AME Zion Church in Lilesville and enjoyed fishing, basketball, and doing handywork.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Gina Chambers Cox; his children, Demond Cox, Todd Donnell Cox, Jr., Tadesha Danielle Vox and Colton Drake “Tudney” Cox; his grandchildren, Demond Cox, Jr., Keron Robinson, Loyalti McCray, Aminah Cox, Lyriq Cox, King Cox, Dolph Cox, Rylan Lisenby; his sister, Rachel Ann Wall; a special nephew, Tony Dunlap; his aunts, Lillie May Dowdy, Ruby Wall, Hazel Monroe, Gloria Richardson, and Beatrice Wall; his mother-in-law, Juanita Chambers and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Chambers, and by his brother, Walter Ray Cox.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Savannah AME Zion Church Cemetery.

There will be no public viewing.
