Tyler Lee Overturf

ROCKINGHAM Tyler Lee Overturf, 16, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, following a courageous lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. There will be a memorial service 6:00pm Saturday, August 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Tyler was born July 21, 2001 in Union County, NC.. He was a rising Junior Classman at Richmond Senior High School. He enjoyed drawing, video games and time spent with his brothers and sisters. Surviving are his parents, Jessie and Jay; his brothers and sisters, Brandon, Parker, Finnley, Joshua, Luckais and Chandler; his grandparents, Dale and Allison Parker of McFarlan and Donnie and Debbie Yarbrough of Rockingham and his great-grandparents, Robert Rhynes and Monnie Bittle of Chesterfield, SC and Patsy King of Rockingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Carolinas Chapter ~ Raleigh, 7101 Creedmoor Rd., Suite 130, Raleigh, NC 27613.
