Vickey Usrey Gilmore Clark

LILESVILLE - On Friday, October 2, 2026, Mrs. Vickey Usrey Gilmore Clark, 79, passed away peacefully at Hospice Haven in Rockingham surrounded by the love of her family.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Gum Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Vickey was born January 9, 1947 in  Anson County, NC and was the youngest child of the late Jessie Lee Usrey and the late Verna May Murray Usrey.  She was a 1965 graduate of Anson High School, where she played basketball.

She was a lifelong member of Gum Springs Baptist Church where she served for many years as the pianist and music director. She has also attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church on occasion.

Vickey worked with Winn Dixie in Wadesboro for many years and later worked at United Carolina Bank. She later retired from Anson County Department of Social Services.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her children, Brad Gilmore of Wilmington and Leslie Hyatt and husband, Frank of Polkton; her grandson, Raylan Hyatt of Polkton; her friend and care-giver, Betty Robinson of Wadesboro'; and her nieces and nephew and their families.

Vickey will be remembered for her love of music and for always being dressed to the nines with every hair in place, make up to perfection and a complete clothing ensemble to match.

The family is most grateful to the staff of Anson Community Hospice and Richmond County Hospice Haven for the care they provided.
