Virginia Johnson Mrs. Burr

Polkton - Mrs. Virginia Johnson Burr, age 86, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Friday in Peachland United Methodist Church with Rev. Angel Christ officiating. Interment will follow in Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kaye Edwards. Virginia was born in Union County on February 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Conley and Collon Phifer Johnson. She was married to the late Jimmy Burr and preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Burr. She was a member of Peachland United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Vent (Yvonne) Burr of Peachland and Kaye (Eddie) Edwards of Polkton; her grandchildren, Alaina (Sebastian Olivares), Cory and Meghan Burr, Tiffany (Matt) Randall, and Jeremy (Heidi) Edwards; two great-grandsons, Evan and Caleb Randall; and her very close sister, Eloise J.
