William Shaw Osborn

WADESBORO – On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Mr. William Shaw Osborn, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, August 22, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Perko officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

William was born March 21, 1946, in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Frances Shaw Osborn and the late Mary Murray Osborn Treadaway.

He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. He retired from working textiles, having been employed with Little Cotton Mfg. and Wansona.

Surviving are his children, Leah Powell (Neil) and Flint Osborn (Jennifer) both of Wadesboro and Meredith Rape (Steven Rorie) of Monroe; his grandchildren, A.J. Powell (Natalie) of Polkton, Hanna Osborn and Bella Osborn both of Wadesboro, Abby Osborn, Aiden Rape and Jase Rape all of Monroe; his great-grandchildren, Paislee, McKenzie and Mason Powell all of Polkton and his nieces and nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Baker Osborn and his brothers, Murray, Bobby and Mac Osborn and his stepfather, Willis Treadaway.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deep Creek Baptist Church, 3245 Deep Creek Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
