MORVEN - On Sunday, December 28, 2025, Mr. Wilson Eugene “Gene” Caulder, 60, passed away peacefully at his home. 

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2025 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Gene was born December 18, 1956 in Palm Beach County, FL and was a son of the late James "Tick" Caulder and the late Linda Kaye Pugh  Caulder. He was an employee of H and H Farm Supply.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his children, Trisha Jones (Justin Brown) of Morven, Heidi Caulder (Brandon Blackwell) of Lilesville, Dakotah Caulder (John Innis) of Matthews, and Violet McDaniel (Ryan) of Nashville, TN and their mother, Debra Horne of Morven; her grandchildren, Conner Jones, Jaxon Jones, Amayah Brown, Layla Brown, Kiyon Brown, Aviana Caulder, Jonathan Blackwell, Sophia Blackwell, Rylynn McDaniel and Leevi McDaniel; his brothers, Bruce Caulder (Mel) of Plainfield, IN and Sanford Caulder of Greenville, SC; his aunt, Judy Alderman of Rockingham and his nieces and nephews and their families.

Gene was all about his family. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on cars, racing, fishing, karaoke, listening to music and especially had the bass pumping. He was always willing to help others and worked with his hands all the time.

He was always on the move and enjoyed times riding four wheelers and dirt bikes.
