Wilton Leon Lee Burr

Mr. Wilton Leon 'Lee' Burr, 74, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Monroe. Services will be 3:30pm Tuesday, November 22, 2011 by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends following the service. Lee was born February 25, 1937 in York County, SC a son of the late Sidney Armond and Grace Humphries Burr. He was painter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Leon Burr and by his brothers, Robert, Sidney 'Bud:, Jr., and Edgar. Surviving are his children, Sandi (David) Moss of Monroe, Michael Burr of Hamlet and Mark (Pam) Burr of Kings Mountain; his brother and sister, Ronnie Burr of Wadesboro and Nellie Russell of Wingate and 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Burr Family Fund, P.O. Box 274, Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
